Japan, June 2005 / Day #2: NTT headquarters

During my adventure last night I had one of the most unexpected experiences I've ever had. At one point, when I was waiting for the traffic lights, a girl of about my age approached with very wobbly English. After compulsory greetings and formalities she asked if I was living in Tokyo and if I could come to her studio one day for some photos. She showed me a portfolio of her works, which I liked. Unfortunately (for me at least) her English wasn't that good that we could arrange anything, so we ended up apologising each other.

I'm still sort of confused for the whole thing, partly for the shock of being asked for such thing, and partly because it was my very first day in Japan when something like that happened. It also makes me wonder why she would have wanted have a freak like me to spoil her reputation of a photographer. Now I'll never know. All this, of course, has nothing to do with this picture.
