Japan, June 2005 / Day #2: Shinjuku, a view from Hotel Lornstar to south
When I finally arrived to Shinjuku-eki last night, I only had my hand-drawn map
of the location of my hotel to take me there. I started walking to the
direction where I believed my hotel was. Having plenty of smaller streets that
were not on the map I used for reference didn't help. I spent a few hours
walking around, buying a can or bottle of green tea every now and then to keep
me sweating. I finally gave up and walked to the nearest police booth and asked
for help. Because none of them could speak English and my Japanese wasnt't that
good, one of them decided to walk me there. I was rather surprised for that but
after a minute of walking I found out why: my hotel was practically around the
corner.
